Met een mengeling van verhalen, stand-up en poppentheater behandelt Dit Ben Ik. thema's als identiteit, homoseksualiteit en kunstenaarschap. 

In 2021 verhuisde Pranay naar Amsterdam; hij bracht zijn dromen met zich mee, net als veel andere immigranten voor hem. Dromen hebben soms tijd nodig om uit te komen en dus wacht hij vol goede hoop. Maar de tijd dringt - vorig jaar werd hij 40. Is het al te laat? Misschien is alles al besloten...
In een theater van karton zet hij zijn leven op het toneel. Welke spoken uit het verleden achtervolgen hem naar dit toneel?

In 2021 Pranay moved to Amsterdam; brought his dreams with him, as many other immigrants before him. Dreams sometimes need a time to come true; so he waits, he still believes. But time is running out - last year he turned 40. Is it already too late? Maybe everything has been decided… In a theatre made from cardboard he stages his life. What ghosts from the past haunt this stage? Pranay’s dramedy is a mixture of puppet theatre, storytelling, stand-up and ritual.

This is Me. deals with issues of identity, being an immigrant, gay and an artist.

This Is Me. combines youth, history, dreams and drama in a way never seen before.

Meer over de makers

Pranay Pawlicki is een Poolse acteur, afgestudeerd aan de Academy of Theatre Art, Puppetry Institute. In zijn professionele leven werkte hij als acteur, schrijver en (licht)regisseur. In 2019 begon hij op te treden als Pranay's Theater en creëerde origineel eenmans theater met verschillende theater vormen. Toch is zijn grootste droom om zijn eigen theatergezelschap te hebben.
