This edition of Brave Space is dedicated to 'Chosen Family': the queer, messy, beautiful networks that hold us when the world won’t. Onstage, storytellers will share about relatives by choice, not biology: housemates who became siblings, friends who became parents, lovers who became home.

Proceeds from this night will go towards Backlash Media’s short film project Here Lies Lola – a film that explores death, grief, and the erasure of trans identities. By joining us, you’re not only supporting a queer storytelling night, you’re helping bring an urgent trans-led story to the screen.

Founded in 2024, Brave Space was created to carve out a place where storytellers could experiment, take risks, and be heard without judgment. Each edition has brought together a mix of emerging and seasoned performers, with audiences packing the room to experience the full spectrum of queer stories. 

Brave Space is not about perfection; it’s about honesty, creativity, and community. Whether you’re performing or listening, you are part of what makes this space thrive.
