In deze muzikale en fysieke voorstelling ontmoeten we een aantal dolende zielen die nieuwsgierig op zoek gaan naar een plek om te leven zoals zij dat willen, vrij van verwachtingen.
Collectief Put, een interdisciplinair team van studenten van de HKU, speelt de voorstelling Soft Under Belly. Elf studenten van de HKU maakten dit stuk onder de vleugels van de makers van Jakop Ahlbom Company. Soft Under Belly is gemaakt volgens de door Ahlbom ontwikkelde maakmethodiek van de ART box (Alhbom Rehearsal Toolbox). Rondom de voorstelling laat Collectief Put in een randprogramma zien wat deze maakmethodiek op kan leveren.
Met Soft Under Belly transformeren deze studenten het decor van Lebensraum tot een nieuw universum.

You push, You pull, You make yourself small and blow yourself up. You do everything to fit in. The desire to belong somewhere is something that connects us all/ But what if you don’t fit in the world around you? And what if another world comes knocking to welcome you with open arms?
Soft Under Belly captures the feeling of desire, desire to be yourself, to be another, the desire to find who you are and who you can be.
In this musical and physical performance we meet a number of wandering souls who curiously search for a place where they can live as they wish, free from expectations.
Eleven HKU students created this piece under the wings of the makers of Jakop Ahlbom Company. Soft Under Belly was developed using the ART Box (Ahlbom Rehearsal Toolbox), a creation method developed by Ahlbom.
Alongside the performance, Collectief Put presents a fringe program demonstrating what this creative methodology can generate.
With Soft Under Belly, these students transform the set of Lebensraum into an entirely new universe.
