In een maatschappij waar ouderwets vakmanschap lijkt te verdwijnen, speelt deze contemporary circusvoorstelling in op het menselijk verlangen om alsmaar te blijven creëren: het proces van idee tot werkelijke constructie, de relatie tussen de mens en zijn gereedschap en de tragiek van het werken aan een project. Drie geobsedeerde personages nemen het publiek mee in een unieke ‘do it yourself’ ervaring waarin zij de eigen werkruimte én zichzelf ontdekken en transformeren.

Sawdust Symphony is een intense dialoog tussen frustratie, euforie en de geur van benzine.

Een confrontatie tussen vakmanschap en circus

Michael Zandl overstijgt het conventionele circusidioom met zijn bijzondere voorstellingen waarin hij alledaagse objecten op geheel eigen wijze gebruikt. Reken op absurde situaties, verhalende voorwerpen en subtiele humor.

In a society where craftsmanship seems to be disappearing, this contemporary circus performance talks about the human desire to create: the process from vision to construction, the tragedy of work and the relationship between tools and humans. Three obsessed characters discover and transform their space and
themselves to take the spectator into a unique DIY experience.
