Moving Futures Festival
Van vrijdag 25 maart tot en met vrijdag 3 juni 2022 is Moving Futures Festival te zien in negen Nederlandse steden. Moving Futures is hét festival waar je dans van de nieuwste generatie makers in al zijn verschijningsvormen beleeft. Het festival toont vernieuwende dans in een royaal uiteenlopend programma met voorstellingen, installaties, workshops en (after)talks.
Moving Futures Festival is een initiatief van ICK Artist Space, Dans Brabant, DansAteliers, De Nieuwe Oost, Grand Theatre en Korzo producties.
Marta & Kim | FASE
In FASE bewegen drie mensen als één, constant veranderend organisme. Sterk met elkaar in verbinding, maar tegelijkertijd kwetsbaar. Een systeem dat oneindig voort beweegt, het komt op en zakt weer in. Via dans en circus bouwen, draaien en wervelen de performers om elkaar heen. Wat betekent het om ergens onderdeel van te zijn? Hoe leven wij samen? Even zijn we allemaal onderdeel van de voorstelling FASE. Een herinnering die we enkel faciliteren en vasthouden zolang die ertoe doet.
Ian Yves Ancheta | An unconventional striptease
An unconventional striptease is an intimate portrait of a relationship between twomen. Performers Ian Yves Ancheta and Iannes Bruylant bring different meanings to the idea of undressing. By being vulnerable, playful and flawed the dancers seek to reveal more than just their skin. They explore the literal and symbolic notion of nakedness, being unapologetically themselves with each other and the audience. Through a combination of humour, interaction and dance you are invited to get a glimpse of the performers personal desires and conflicts. While revealing themselves they hope to reveal a part of you too.

In FASE three human beings move as one constantly changing organism. Strong through their connection, but at the same time fragile. A system that moves infinitely, rising to break down again. Through circus and dance the performers are building, turning and whirling around each other. What does it mean to be a part of something? How do we exist together as human beings? For a moment we all become a part of the performance FASE. A memory that we facilitate and maintain only for as long as it matters.

Nagesprek met Marta&Kim en Ian Yves Ancheta
Na de voorstelling op 8 mei vindt er een nagesprek plaats met Marta&Kim en Ian Yves Ancheta onder leiding van master student dramaturgie Astrid Klein Haneveld. Wat is de rol van jonge makers in het veld en hoe kijkt een nieuwe generatie aan tegen de invulling van makerschap, bestaande structuren en kansen? Een gesprek over zelf realisatie, het vormgeven van individuele ideeën en de waarde van zingeving en betrokkenheid.
Dit nagesprek duurt 20 minuten en is in het Engels.

Meer over de makers
Marta en Kim zijn een Nederlands/Noors duo, dat circus en dans combineert. Ze verdiepen zich in menselijk contact, dat de basis vormt voor hun partnerwerk. Ze spelen met schijnbaar onmogelijke figuren die tot de verbeelding spreken, terwijl ze de fragiliteit van het mens-zijn nooit uit het oog verliezen.
Marta en Kim zoeken naar eenvoudige fysieke metaforen en werken die uit, waarbij ze toegankelijke beelden creëren met oog voor detail. Ze spelen met schijnbaar onmogelijke figuren die tot de verbeelding spreken, terwijl ze de fragiliteit van het mens-zijn nooit uit het oog verliezen.
Ian Yves Ancheta (Sweden 1993) had his first encounter with dance through New School Hip hop which led to his great interest in musicality and fragmented movement qualities. He graduated from ArtEZ university of the arts in 2019 and worked as dancer with choreographers such as Tom Weinberger, Conny Janssen, Ingrid Berger Myhre, Carolyn Carlson and Wubkje Kuindersma. As a maker, Ian creates from a place of humor and playfulness. Using objects as a source of inspiration to find movements in unexpected and twisted ways. The struggle of being is an important element in his works, striving not only to reveal more about himself, but also the audience. Ian has been collaborating with Dansateliers since 2019, during which he created the duet “once, two times” for one night’s dance (2019), his short solo “titta på mina tuttar” (2020), and “caught in between” (2021) as part of Danslokaal 9 with Conny Janssen Danst.
Iannes Bruylant was born in Ghent, Belgium and is currently based in Oslo, Norway. Until the age of 21 he combined a high-level gymnastics career (Top 5 Belgium) with a Bachelor degree in Medicine (Ghent University, BE). Upon completion he joined the Bachelor Dancer/Maker program at Artez, School of the Arts (NL). As a dancer he has worked and performed with e.g. Nagelhus Schia Productions, Panta Rei Danseteater, Cie Agostina D’Allesandro and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam (NL). He has performed works by Damien Jalet, Hege Haagenrud, Daniel Proietto, Tom Weinberger, Agostina D’Allessandro, Maciej Kuszminski, Nicole Caruana, Hendrik Aerts, Carolyn Carlson, … As a maker his work has been presented at/with Panta Rei Danseteater, Nagelhus Schia Productions, Mind The Gap, H80 festival, Smovetalk Festival, Barnes Crossing, and MIR for Scapino Ballet.

Marta and Kim are a Dutch/Norwegian duo, combining circus and dance into their performances. They are interested in human connection, which is the base for their partnering work. Playing with seemingly impossible figures that speak to the imagination, while staying in touch with the fragility of being human.
